Attention Arizona Seniors: Cut Your Cooling Bills & Keep the Scorching Heat Outside

With utility rates rising, protecting your home and your fixed income is more important than ever. Discover how our specialized, energy-saving window technology shields your home from extreme desert heat—brought to you by a local, veteran-led team with over 30 years of trusted experience. We know when you're retired, everything goes up but your paycheck. Utility bills in Arizona are significantly higher than the national average, largely due to scorching summer temperatures driving massive air-conditioning demand. Major providers are also pushing for further hikes.

Proposed Rate Hikes and Grid Costs

Arizona Public Service (APS): The state’s largest utility has proposed a 14%-16% increase in average residential bills, along with a doubling of grid access fees for solar customers.

Tucson Electric Power (TEP): TEP is also seeking a 13% to 14% rate increase to cover infrastructure and grid modernization costs.

Regulatory Pushback: Both the rate hikes and growing utility profits have sparked protests and pushback from the Arizona Attorney General's office, which is challenging these increases before the Arizona Corporation Commission.

I’ve spent over 30 years in the energy‑saving replacement window and door business, helping homeowners stay comfortable and keep their utility bills under control. It’s the world I know, and it’s the world seniors trust me in.

About 35 years ago, I met a man named Tim Stapp, and we’ve stayed close friends ever since. Over the years, Tim and I helped build some of the largest energy‑saving replacement window and door companies in the nation. We’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and what truly helps homeowners — especially seniors.

When Tim created a new product called Diamond Shield for Windows, he had already installed over 10,000 square feet of it on homes. Given my background, I immediately understood the value — especially for seniors here in Arizona facing extreme heat and rising utility costs.

We’re not the biggest company in the world, and we don’t ever plan to be. What matters to us is results. Over the years, the customer reviews and the utility savings people reported just made common sense. When you compare cost versus value, the average price to replace ten vinyl‑frame windows is around $22,000 — and most homeowners take 15 to 40 years to ever see that money back. Diamond Shield for Windows pays for itself in one to two years, and that’s why seniors love it.

Between the two of us, we bring over 70 years of combined experience helping homeowners save energy, stay cooler, and protect their homes. That’s why I joined forces with him as the Chief Marketing Officer of Diamond Shield AZ.

If you’re retired, you already know the truth: Everything goes up except the paycheck. That’s why I’m here — to help seniors stay comfortable without spending a fortune.
